The Grundfos Magna 1 can be used in a number of different hot water systems, including central heating, mains pumps, mixing loops, heating and air-conditioning. It can also be installed into systems with hot water as the priority, with an external signal forcing the pump to operate according to the maximum curve, i.e. in solar-heating systems.
The design, which is specifically aimed at optimising energy efficiency, has led to the MAGNA series obtaining a class ‘A’ rating in the European energy labelling scheme.
The Grundfos MAGNA 1 is reliable and easy to install with a simply plug-and-pump connection, and contains a number of standout features:
- The pumps are provided with both threaded and flange connections in order to achieve easy installation into both new and existing systems.
- The rotor used makes use of permanent-magnet technology designed to generate more energy savings than any other speed-controlled circulator pump.
- Extensive 3-D testing and in-depth simulations means that the MAGNA pump housing and impeller are designed to optimally fit the other, reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
- Sophisticated electronics are protected by air cooling, ensuring that the pump can continually and reliably operate.
- The Magna 1 interface is as simple and user-friendly as it could be, with the operating panel showing only the most essential performance parameters, making it very easy to read. Pump performance can be adjusted manually with a simple button press.
